Gwyneth Dean-Witte


Gwyneth Dean-Witte is an Instructional Specialist with over 20 years of experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse students in the K-12 educational system in the United States and abroad. As an endorsed English as a New Language teacher (ESL), Gwyneth has had a varied career in education with language learners as a high school Newcomer Program ESL teacher, a multi-age/multi-grade ELL classroom teacher, and a Professional Development Facilitator. Gwyneth coordinates the Education Service Agency Region 3 Title III Consortium, working with thirty districts, including Native American schools, Hutterite Colony schools, and small rural schools with low incidence of ELLs.

Gwyneth serves on the Department of Education English Language Learner Advisory Committee, and she assists and supports schools as they create their District Core ESL Programs. Gwyneth provides regional professional development opportunities, as well as district level PD, and provides instructional coaching in member districts.

Gwyneth is also an Instructor in the Department of Education at Dakota Wesleyan University, teaching courses for the ENL Endorsement program at the graduate level. She has a B.A. in Child Development from South Dakota State University and a Masters in Leadership and Administration in Education from Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. She holds an ENL Endorsement through South Dakota State University. She has held positions in education in Bolivia, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, China, and South Dakota.
