Pam Dorn


Pam is an educator and coach in Madison, Wisconsin. In her 24 years in public education she has experience as a classroom teacher, a bilingual support teacher, and an instructional coach. Pam has taught in both urban and suburban settings in both Florida and Wisconsin.

In her roles both in the classroom and supporting the classroom, she has participated in and facilitated professional development. She finds her focus and her passion in deepening the understanding of the role that language development plays in academic learning and facilitating an understanding of the scaffolds, supports, and tools that can strengthen that integration in the classroom.

In addition to her classroom experience, Pam has served as an Adult ESL Instructor and is currently an Adjunct Instructor in the TESOL Program in the School of Education at Edgewood College.

Pam holds a BA in Elementary Education as well as ESL/Bilingual Certification from UW-Madison. In addition, she holds an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of South Florida. She has also completed coursework for the Reading Teacher Program at UW-Madison and for Literacy Coach at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
